Dashboards make it easy to track dozens of numbers. The risk is optimising for the ones that are easy to move instead of the ones tied to revenue.
Start from the business outcome
Write down the one result marketing is meant to drive this quarter: qualified leads, trial sign-ups, booked calls. Every other metric should explain movement in that number, or it is noise.
Separate leading and lagging indicators
Revenue is lagging; it tells you what already happened. Landing-page conversion rate, reply rate on outreach and cost per qualified lead are leading; they move first and tell you what to change this week.
Treat reach and likes with care
Impressions and likes are useful for comparing creative, but they rarely predict pipeline on their own. If a post gets wide reach and no profile visits or enquiries, it reached the wrong audience.
Review on a fixed rhythm
A short weekly review of leading indicators and a monthly review of the outcome metric keeps decisions tied to data without reacting to every daily swing.
